Each year, Musica Viva with the support of the Rotary Club of Palmerston North offers a Young Performer’s Scholarship to local performers under the age of 25.

Each participant performs an item at a concert from April to September.
Competition Day for 2024 is Saturday, October 12 and the Showcase and Prizegiving is on Monday, October 14.

Prizes are offered in three categories:

• Piano
• Instrumental
• Vocal

Prize values for the Young Performer’s Scholarship in each category are:

• First: $500
• Second: $300
• Third: $200

The total prize pool is $3,000 across the competition.
